Inquire to attend our second Star Lane and Dierberg Vineyard Symposium where we will share various insights we have gained through our vineyard and winery trials.  In particular we'll share information related to:

  • The 3 Cs of Sta. Rita Hills: Compost, Compaction, and Cover Crops.

  • Update on 6 year till/no-till trial and its impact on vine vigor and soil health in Sauvignon Blanc.

  • Broad phenolic survey of 2020 and 2021 Sta Rita Hills Pinot Noir relative to vineyards within the AVA and examples of typical wines outside the AVA.

  • Tasting and Phenolic analysis of pump over frequency trials on 2023 Pinot Noir: how many pump overs does it take to build a wine?

  • Is topping worth it?
