Sometimes you make what the vineyard is telling you to make! This block of Malbec meant to be a blender in our Cabernet is in a low part of the vineyard and receives more water. The grapes grow full and juicy and perfect for a pink wine. Star Lane Rosé has our classic foundation of something akin to a wild strawberry with hints of spice and floral qualities that are so inviting. The mouth feel is fresh, fun, with just enough depth to keep you interested but enough freshness to invite that second and third glass. It is said that Rosé was invented hundreds of years ago in France as an alternative to fresh and early-drinking white wine for those red wine vignerons who wanted and needed something customers and family could drink while waiting for their great red wines to gracefully age. With a Rosé like this to quaff, we'll wait as long as needed!
“The closest thing to dry Southern French Rosé I’ve ever had from Santa Barbara, yet full of California sunshine! Grab this one quickly, because they don’t make a lot!”
